How to Book The Best Hotels in Barcelona

Barcelona has an endless supply of hotels, from country-style hostels to 5-star luxury hotels. But how do you find the best place to stay? Well, a few things can make your search for the perfect hotel easier.

The first is the location of your hotel; if you want lots of sightseeing or nearby attractions, you should opt for a hotel close to them. Or if you want somewhere to relax after a long day of exploring, then you should look for a hotel in a quieter area.

Another important factor that can make or break your purchase is the rate; prices fluctuate, so it’s always good to check availability and rates.

Quicks tips

  • I’ll give you some tips I’ve learned from my first trip to Barcelona and my second visit.
  • Don’t get caught in the rush hour traffic, especially for a long trip; leave earlier.
  • Always pay for all modes of transport (ferry, train, bus) on arrival at the port or airport.
  • The tram and metro are great if you’re short on time but don’t plan on using your legs heavily. It is an excellent system just for getting around in the city.
  • For a good cup of coffee, go to the nearest Starbucks. They are everywhere!
