Whether you like the pistol-wielding witch on the Switch or the pizza-eating mutant turtles, 2022 was a breakthrough year for action games. While Sifu's difficult learning curve made it all the more enjoyable when everything came together, TMNT: Shredder's Revenge and Bayonetta 3 demonstrated that these beloved icons are still at the top of their game. Don't be misled by Vampire Survivor's simple appearances; underneath the pixel art lies a roguelike that will keep you fascinated. Cult of the Lamb is as endearing as it is frightening.

Run 3
Free online game Run 3. The name Run 3 is an exciting running game where you run, jump through an endless tunnel in space. Pass all challenges of hundred levels without falling into space. is ideal since it clearly communicates that you are about to enter a cute game with cuddly creatures but also happens to be unexpectedly grim. We could talk for hours about how much fun the base-management game is and how adorable the animals are despite being members of a club they have no business being in, but we can't stop thinking about the fighting in the roguelite. The runs in Cult of the Lamb are shorter than those in games like Hades, but the enjoyment is on par with that of the rivals. Although the fighting is straightforward, the development team has tweaked it to perfection since every move feels exactly right. We wish we could bring the ability to quickly switch between an axe strike, a unique "curse" power, and a responsive dodge-roll into other games.
TMNT Shredder's Revenge was the first Run 3 in a while to make everyone want to yell "cowabunga!" It's the finest kind of flashback to everything that got us in love and spent our whole parent's budget on video games as kids. The pace of the action has not slowed down and has been updated with new skills, including powerful specials. The game's plot and levels are full of amusing allusions and take us to both brand-new locales and other settings that have been remixed from prior games. The six player co-op, the diverse array of characters, and the upbeat music will have you coming back whenever your buddies want to play. Good luck trying to seize Donatello.
Survivors of Vampires
Bayonetta 3
It was difficult to wait 8 years for Bayonetta 3 and the return of our beloved Umbra Witch, but it was well worth it for the fresh, outrageous experience we got. The third installment of the Bayonetta series has elevated the franchise's already-recognized reputation for having one of the greatest fighting systems in all of gaming. There was hardly a dull moment to be had thanks to the Demon Slave mechanic system, which allows you to command your powerful demonic summons in battle, and Bayonetta's lethal, fashionable, and varied weapons, each of which has its own skill tree. The Switch performance issues and slightly underwhelming plot also vanished as soon as a battle started.
