"Bride of Chucky" is a horror movie directed by Ronny Yu and starring Jennifer Tilly, Brad Dourif, Katherine Heigl, and others.
The horror movie tells the story of two dolls with human souls in the process of seeking to restore the human body. The film was released in the United States on October 16, 1998.
Ten years after Charles Lee Rey injected his soul into the doll "Chucky", his girlfriend Tiffany after years of tireless search, finally bought the police to bring the doll "Chucky" with the remains After leaving and relying on the unskilled voodoo ritual, the stitched Chaqi was awakened again. However, the awakened Cha Qi had no love for Tiffany. The sad Tiffany imprisoned Cha Qi, but Cha Qi moved her soul into the body of another female doll. For the two dolls to recover their human bodies, they must find the amulet buried in the grave of Charles Lee Rey. So they stared at a pair of lovers Jed and Jesse who were blocked by their elders. The two dolls entrusted the latter to drive them to the cemetery where Rey was buried while killing them all the way. Jed and Jesse, who eloped, realized that they were under the control of the doll couple in the horror movie.
"Bride of Chucky" is the fourth part of the Ghost Baby series. The creative inspiration for Bride of Chucky comes from the 1935 film "The Bride of Frankenstein". Producer David Koshner accidentally appeared on the shelves of a local video store. The videotape of the horror movie was found on the Internet. His first reaction was to create a bride for the ghost baby. By introducing this new role, he could dig out the other side of the ghost baby, and the ghost baby, who has always been alone, should also marry a wife and set up a family.
To show the two ghosts in the horror movie vividly, Kevin Jager began designing, manufacturing, and testing sophisticated and complex electric dolls 7 months before the filming started. Ghost Baby and Bride of Chucky are played by multiple dolls, each of which has a different body, face, function, and purpose. Take the ghost dolls as an example, the special effects technicians produced 9 dolls, one of which is used to complete the main actions such as walking and climbing, two are pole dolls, and the remaining 6 are special effects dolls. Controlling the Ghost Baby and Bride of Chucky requires 16 technicians at the same time.
In the previous ghost baby movies, the skin of the ghost baby dolls is made of foam rubber. Although this material is light and soft, the color is dull and lacks luster. It must be colored and is difficult to use up. To make the skin of the doll in the film more vivid, Yage tried a lot of materials. In the end, he used a combination of silicone and foam rubber.
